What OpenTable is.
OpenTable is one of the largest restaurant reservation networks, founded in San Francisco in 1998 and owned by Booking Holdings. Restaurants pay a monthly plan, reported at $149, $299 and $499 for Basic, Core and Pro, plus a fee for each diner booked through the OpenTable network.
Restaurants that need a large diner marketplace to send new guests and accept a fee per network cover in return.
Restaurants, clubs and hotels with a loyal following that want flat pricing, their own booking page and direct WhatsApp with guests.
No fee for every cover
OpenTable adds a reported $1.00 to $1.50 per network cover on top of the plan. Benvo charges a flat $249 a month per venue, however busy you are.
No 2% on deposits
OpenTable takes 2% on prepaid bookings and no-show charges. Benvo takes no percentage of deposits, which follow rules by party size, date, room and occasion.
Floor plan on every plan
OpenTable keeps table management and the waitlist to Core and Pro. Benvo includes the live floor plan, host stand and door waitlist in Reservations.
