HubSpot alternatives for hospitality and venue sales teams
The main HubSpot alternatives for a hospitality sales team are Zoho CRM, Tripleseat, SevenRooms, Planning Pod and Benvo, and the right one depends on what your team sells: private events, memberships, rooms or tables. This page is for sales and events teams at clubs, hotels, restaurants and venues who run HubSpot today or are pricing it. You get a side by side table, prices checked on 4 November 2026, a first-year cost for a three-person team and a plan for moving your data.
If your team sells to other businesses and has no venue behind it, a general CRM such as Zoho CRM is probably the better fit, and we say so where it matters. Benvo wrote this page. Where HubSpot or another tool is stronger, the page says that too.
The short answer
HubSpot is a mature, horizontal CRM with published plan limits and strong compliance documents, but its paid tiers add seats, usage credits and required onboarding fees, and its public pages show no reservations or membership tools.[1][10] Zoho CRM is the lower cost general swap; Tripleseat, SevenRooms, Planning Pod and Benvo are built around venues.[16]
Choose HubSpot if
- You sell to businesses as well as to guests and want one mature CRM across sales, marketing and service.[1][2]
- Your team leans on deep workflow automation and on apps from a large marketplace, such as Gmail, Outlook and Zapier.[11]
- You need published plan limits and compliance papers such as SOC 2 Type II and a HIPAA attestation.[10]
- Your business is in the US, the UK or Canada and you want payments inside the CRM.[8]
Choose Benvo if
- You sell private events, memberships, tours or stays at a venue rather than software or services to other companies.
- You want enquiries, tours, proposals with signatures and the guest record in one system.[46][47]
- You prefer a price per venue to a price per seat: Sales pipeline is US$89 a venue a month, with no setup fee.[45][56]
- You want Emma, Benvo's AI sales agent, to reply to and qualify enquiries for your team to check.[52]
HubSpot alternatives at a glance
Four tools come closest to HubSpot, depending on what you sell. Zoho CRM is a general CRM with a free edition for up to 3 users. Tripleseat is event sales software from US$375 a venue a month. SevenRooms is a guest CRM for restaurants and hotels, sold by quote. Benvo covers venue sales and guest records from US$89 a venue a month (prices as of 4 November 2026).[14][19][27][45]

Why venue teams look beyond HubSpot
Teams leave HubSpot mostly over cost and fit. Paid tiers are priced per seat plus usage credits, Professional adds a required US$1,500 onboarding fee and an annual commitment, and Trustpilot reviewers complain about support, renewals and cancellations. Venues have a second reason: HubSpot's public pages show no reservations or membership tools.[1][13]
HubSpot sells its paid Sales Hub tiers per seat, with HubSpot Credits for AI and automation on top. Starter includes 500 credits a month and Professional 3,000. Included credits reset each month, do not roll over and do not stack across products, and extra credits cost US$0.010 each.[1][3] Since 15 October 2026, spend caps are on by default at up to 50% above the monthly credits, and budget can move from seats to credits mid-term.[5]
- Required onboarding. A one-off US$1,500 on Sales Hub Professional, US$3,500 on Enterprise and US$3,000 on Marketing Hub Professional.
- Annual commitment. Sales Hub Professional needs an annual commitment even when you pay monthly.
- Separate hubs. Quotes, payments and billing belong to Revenue Hub, sold separately; new Sales Hub customers are offered Revenue Hub Professional at US$57 a seat a month, billed annually.
- Channels by tier. WhatsApp in the inbox needs Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise, and SMS needs Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise plus the SMS Access add-on.[1][2][7][3]
The two scores measure different things. Trustpilot reviewers skew towards billing disputes: complaints cover support responsiveness, auto-renewals, hard cancellations or downgrades, seat-based pricing with add-ons, a complex interface and sales practices, and HubSpot had not replied to negative reviews. Praise is for the breadth of features. The App Store score rates HubSpot's staff app, which is a different question from how a contract ends.[13][12]
For venues the bigger issue is fit. HubSpot is a horizontal CRM: on the public pages we checked we found no membership or dues management and no table, room or event reservations, and the App Marketplace front page showed no hospitality, booking or point of sale apps.[11] A club or hotel that wants a signed proposal to become a booking or a member record has to build that link itself.
HubSpot alternatives worth considering
Four alternatives have checked fact files behind them: one general CRM and three hospitality tools. Pipedrive, which search results often name, is left out because its pricing page blocked our checks. Salesforce, ActiveCampaign, EngageBay, GoHighLevel and monday CRM are also common in general CRM roundups; we hold no checked facts on them, so we do not compare them here, and that includes the Salesforce vs HubSpot question. General roundups tend to sort HubSpot alternatives into sales-focused pipelines, all-in-one suites and marketing automation tools; this shortlist adds the venue tools those lists leave out. You can also compare hospitality software one tool at a time.
Zoho CRM
A horizontal sales CRM sold per user, from a Free edition for up to 3 users to Ultimate. Zoho says more than 300,000 businesses use it. Standard adds multiple pipelines, mass email and data capture through forms.[14][15][14][15]
- Suits
- General sales teams that want HubSpot-style pipelines at a lower price per user, with prices in local currencies.
- Watch out for
- Zoho states that its hospitality set-up "is not an out-of-the-box vertical CRM solution", so bookings, billing and payments are customisation work.[17]
- Price
- US$14 a user a month, billed yearly[16]
Tripleseat
Event sales and management software for restaurants, hotels and venues: an Inquiry Inbox, web forms, proposals, contracts and BEOs with digital signature, and its own payments product. Tripleseat says more than 20,000 venues use it.[20][18][20][19]
- Suits
- Venues where private events and group bookings are most of what the sales team sells.
- Watch out for
- Add-on prices, setup fees, contract terms and processing rates are not published, and no membership features are described. See Tripleseat pricing.[19]
- Price
- $375 per venue a month[19]
SevenRooms
A guest CRM, reservations and marketing platform for hospitality, now part of DoorDash. Guest profiles hold more than 100 data points, with spend from 65+ POS integrations; email marketing and event management are add-ons.[26][28][27][26][28][27]
- Suits
- Restaurant and hotel groups whose sales are mostly repeat diners and guest marketing rather than an events pipeline.
- Watch out for
- Every plan is by quote, and the membership clubs page describes no dues billing or applications. See SevenRooms pricing.[27][32]
- Price
- Quote only[27]
Planning Pod
Event and venue management software with a booking calendar, BEOs, floor plans, proposals, contracts, invoicing, payments and an event CRM. It says it has operated since 2014 and that more than 70,000 event and hospitality professionals use it.[37][38][37][38][39]
- Suits
- Event venues, caterers and club events offices that want BEOs, floor plans and payments, with onboarding and data migration help.[42]
- Watch out for
- Pricing is not public: its pricing address returns a 404 and the site asks visitors to book a demo. Subscriptions are billed in US dollars only.[39][41]
- Price
- Not published[39]
Strengths and trade-offs of each alternative
None of the four is a straight copy of HubSpot. Zoho CRM is the closest in shape; the other three trade general sales tooling for hospitality features. Read the cons as the questions to take into each demo.
Zoho CRM
- Strength: A Free edition for up to 3 users, and Standard from US$14 a user a month billed yearly.
- Strength: Prices published in 20+ currencies, with no long-term commitment.
- Strength: Named hotel and travel customers, including Minor Hotels and Agoda.
- Limitation: Hospitality workflows need customisation; Zoho says it is not an out-of-the-box vertical CRM.
- Limitation: No reservations, membership or event proposals as standard features.
- Limitation: Field level encryption only on Enterprise.
Tripleseat
- Strength: Built for event sales, from enquiry to BEO and payment.
- Strength: Unlimited users on every plan.
- Strength: Cards and ACH through its own payments product.
- Limitation: Add-on, setup and processing prices are not published.
- Limitation: No membership features described.
- Limitation: No SOC 2 or security page found.
SevenRooms
- Strength: Deep guest profiles with spend from many POS systems.
- Strength: SOC 2, PCI DSS, GDPR and CCPA listed on its trust portal.
- Strength: An AI phone agent that books, changes and cancels reservations.
- Limitation: Every plan is by quote.
- Limitation: Email marketing and event management are add-ons.
- Limitation: No dues billing or membership applications described.
Planning Pod
- Strength: BEOs, floor plans, proposals, contracts and payments in one system.
- Strength: Onboarding and data migration help, with Customer Success Managers.
- Strength: Booking calendar syncs with Google and Outlook.
- Limitation: Pricing is not public.
- Limitation: Subscriptions billed in US dollars only.
- Limitation: No membership features; its club page treats membership as separate software.
Benvo for hospitality sales: enquiries, tours and proposals
Benvo is not a general CRM. It is a hospitality system sold as modules per venue, and its sales modules follow a venue's journey: enquiry, tour, proposal, card deposit, then the guest or member record. The full picture is on the hospitality sales software page.[45]
Pipeline with round robin
A board with stages and reminders, round robin assignment, people, tags and audiences. Leads import from a spreadsheet and duplicates merge, and membership applications run through their own pipeline. Sales pipeline is US$89 a venue a month.[46][48][45]
Forms and signatures
A form builder with conditional logic, signatures with a countersign and an integrity check, and forms that take bookings. Forms and documents is US$49 a venue a month.[46][45]
Tours from a public booking page
Prospects book a tour or appointment from a public page, with reminders and a morning digest for the team. Bookings are copied to staff Google calendars, one way. Appointments is US$49 a venue a month.[46][45]
Proposals and the event sales loop
Proposals with extras and versions; the client accepts, draws a signature and receives a signed PDF. Deposit schedule invoices the client pays by card online and a function sheet follow, and Emma follows up from enquiry to contract. Proposals sit in the Events module, US$199 a venue a month.[47][45]
Emma replies to enquiries
Emma replies to and qualifies enquiries, books tours, follows up within consent and Do Not Call rules and quotes approved packages. Agents are free to hire, with one free work hour each; after that, Agent time is prepaid at US$1.25 a work hour.[52]
After the sale, the person stays on one guest record with a timeline and 12 month spend and visits, so the sales team and the front of house read the same history.[49] Leads from Meta lead ads can arrive as enquiries once the venue connects its own Page.[46] Deposits and invoices are paid by card through the venue's own KPay, Adyen or Stripe account; the processor charges its card fees and Benvo adds none.[50]
What HubSpot costs a venue sales team, and the alternatives
Zoho CRM is the cheapest like for like swap: its Free edition covers up to 3 users and Standard is US$14 a user a month billed yearly, against US$20 a seat for HubSpot Starter. For a venue team, Benvo's three sales modules come to US$168.30 a venue a month with no setup fee.[14][16][3][45]

First year for a three-person team, published prices
The step from Starter to Professional matters for tours: round robin works on Starter, but Starter includes 1 personal meeting link with HubSpot branding, against up to 1,000 links without branding on Professional.[9][1] For every tier and the credit rules, see HubSpot Sales Hub pricing; for campaigns, see HubSpot Marketing Hub pricing, where Professional starts from US$800 a month plus a US$3,000 onboarding.[2] Full module prices are on Benvo pricing.
Hospitality sales capabilities compared
The quick table compares features. This one follows a venue sale in order, from the first enquiry to the person who walks in afterwards, which is where general CRMs and venue tools part ways.

Verdict: Venue tools after the signature. From enquiry to tour, HubSpot and Zoho CRM are strong. From the signed proposal onwards, the hospitality tools hold more of the work, and only Benvo carries the sale into a membership.
How to choose a HubSpot alternative for a venue
Start with what the sale turns into. If it ends in an invoice to another company, you need a general CRM. If it ends in a function, a stay or a membership, you need the sale to hand over to the system that runs the venue. Then weigh these points:
- Who logs in. Per-seat pricing rewards small teams; per-venue pricing rewards teams where coordinators, managers and owners all need access.
- Where deposits are paid. Check that the tool can take or request payments in your country and currency.
- What happens after signature. Does the signed proposal create the booking, the function sheet and the guest record, or does someone retype it?
- Required fees. Ask for onboarding, setup and add-on prices in writing.

Regional notes for venues outside North America
Most HubSpot alternative lists are written for North American sales teams. A venue in London, Dubai, Sydney or Hong Kong should check the subscription currency, where client payments work and what tax is added.
| Tool | Subscription currency | Taking client payments | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| HubSpot | USD, plus applicable tax | HubSpot payments only in the US, the UK and Canada; Stripe suggested elsewhere | EU data centre since 19 July 2021 |
| Zoho CRM | Published in 20+ currencies; local taxes added | Billing and payments through customisation | Standard billed yearly: GBP 12, EUR 14, AUD 20, AED 51 or SGD 17 a user a month |
| Tripleseat | Not published | Cards and ACH; processor not named | Local teams in the UK and Australia |
| SevenRooms | Not published | Stripe, FreedomPay, Network International, CyberSource or Adyen | WhatsApp messaging stated for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific |
| Planning Pod | US dollars only | Card, debit and ACH; processor not named | Cancellation must be in writing |
| Benvo | USD | Cards through the venue's choice of KPay, Adyen or Stripe; Benvo adds no fee | Each venue keeps its own currency, locale, time zone and tax |
Moving off HubSpot
The stepper below is Benvo's 14 day switch plan. The notes say what changes when the old system is HubSpot.
- Day 1
Kickoff
One call with your switch lead: the tools you run, the dates that matter and who signs off.
- Days 2 to 3
Export
We request the exports from your current providers with you. Nothing for your team to format.
From HubSpot: Ask your HubSpot admin for spreadsheet exports of contacts and open deals before your renewal date. We did not check HubSpot's export documentation for this page, so confirm what each export holds.
- Days 4 to 6
Imports
Guests, members, bookings history, menus and bottles imported, duplicates matched, every count checked with you.
From HubSpot: Leads import from a spreadsheet and duplicate leads merge. Guests, members and past bookings import from CSV or XLSX files of up to 10,000 rows each. Conversation and invoice history do not move.[56][46]
- Days 7 to 8
Channels
Your WhatsApp number, email domain, booking links and POS connected to the new system.
From HubSpot: The public tour booking page replaces HubSpot meeting links, and tours copy to staff Google calendars one way. Meta lead ads can feed enquiries once the venue connects its Page.[46]
- Days 9 to 10
Staff and training
Everyone signs in with two-factor, and each team rehearses a real service with their lead.
- Days 11 to 13
Parallel run
Benvo runs beside your old system on real service. Anything you flag is fixed before go live.
- Day 14
Go live
The old system is switched off, members are invited to the app in one click and your lead stays on.
Time the move around your HubSpot term: Sales Hub Professional carries an annual commitment, and included credits do not roll over, so unused credits are lost at the switch.[1] If you are part way through a contract, Benvo can credit up to 3 months of the remaining term as switch credit, on a 12 month term, and there is no setup fee.[56]
Expert tips for running a venue sales pipeline
- Name stages after what the guest does. Enquiry, tour booked, proposal sent, signed, deposit received. A stage called "warm" tells nobody what to do next.
- Give every enquiry one owner. Round robin is fair only if the rota is right; take people off the rotation when they are on leave.
- Keep events and memberships apart. They have different steps and different timelines, so give each its own pipeline.
- Measure the first reply. Track the time to a full, useful answer, not to an automatic acknowledgement, and review it with the team each week.
- Clean data before you move it. Merge duplicates and close dead deals in the old system first, so the import starts tidy.
HubSpot alternatives: questions answered
What is a similar CRM to HubSpot?
Zoho CRM is the closest general CRM, with a free edition for up to 3 users and Standard at US$14 a user a month billed yearly. For venues, Tripleseat handles event sales from US$375 a venue a month, SevenRooms is a guest CRM sold by quote, and Benvo covers venue sales and guest records from US$89 a venue a month (prices as of 4 November 2026).[14][16][19][27][45]
Why are people leaving HubSpot?
Mostly cost and contract terms. Paid tiers are per seat plus usage credits, Sales Hub Professional needs a US$1,500 onboarding fee and an annual commitment, and Trustpilot reviewers cite support, auto-renewals and hard cancellations. HubSpot rated 1.5 of 5 from 1,180 Trustpilot reviews on 4 November 2026, though its staff app rated 4.7 on iOS. Venue teams also find no reservations or membership tools.[1][13][12]
What is a cheaper alternative to HubSpot?
Zoho CRM is cheaper per person: Standard is US$14 a user a month billed yearly against US$20 a seat for HubSpot Starter, and its Free edition covers up to 3 users. For a three-person venue team, the first year comes to US$504 on Zoho Standard, US$2,019.60 on Benvo sales modules and US$5,100 on HubSpot Professional with onboarding. See the cost table above.[16][14][3][1][45]
Is there a better CRM than HubSpot?
It depends on what your team sells. For general business-to-business sales with deep automation, HubSpot is a strong choice, and Zoho CRM is the lower cost option. For venues, a tool built around events, guests or members does more after the sale: Tripleseat for events, SevenRooms for restaurant guests, and Benvo when sales hand over to bookings and memberships.[1][16][20][28][46]
What are the disadvantages of HubSpot?
Required onboarding fees on higher tiers (US$1,500 on Sales Hub Professional, US$3,500 on Enterprise), seat and credit pricing where included credits do not roll over, payments limited to the US, the UK and Canada, and quotes and payments sold separately in Revenue Hub. Trustpilot complaints centre on support, auto-renewals, cancellations and a complex interface.[1][8][13]
Is HubSpot CRM actually free?
Yes, within limits. HubSpot Sales Hub and Marketing Hub free tools cost US$0 for up to 2 users, with no credit card required. Paid features such as round robin meeting pages need Starter or above, and Starter is listed at US$20 a seat a month in the product catalogue, as of 4 November 2026.[1][2][9][3]
Is HubSpot worth it in 2026?
For a business that sells to other companies and wants marketing, sales and service on one CRM, often yes: limits are published, compliance documents include SOC 2 Type II, and its AI agents were expanded through 2026. For a venue, the paid tiers, the US$1,500 Professional onboarding and the missing reservations and membership tools make a hospitality system worth comparing first.[1][10][6]
How many companies use HubSpot?
HubSpot says it has 306,000 customers, according to its company story page checked on 4 November 2026. It was founded in 2006 by Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah and lists more than 9,000 employees. The pages we checked do not name customers by sector, so we cannot say how many are hospitality businesses.[4]
Is Zoho CRM good for hotels?
Zoho names hotel and travel customers, including Minor Hotels and Agoda, on its hospitality page. It also says the set-up "is not an out-of-the-box vertical CRM solution": bookings, billing and payments are modelled through customisation. It suits a hotel sales team that has someone to build and maintain those workflows.[17]
Can I move my data from HubSpot to Benvo?
Yes, through files. Benvo imports leads from a spreadsheet and merges duplicates, and imports guests, members and past bookings from CSV or XLSX files of up to 10,000 rows each. Conversation and invoice history do not move. The 14 day switch plan includes kickoff, export, imports, staff training and a parallel run, with no setup fee.[56][46]
Does Benvo replace HubSpot Marketing Hub?
For guest marketing, largely. Benvo Email campaigns is US$89 a venue a month, with a block designer, segments, A/B tests of a send, scheduling and reports, and 1,000 emails a month are included per account. Automations is a further US$89 and needs the Inbox module, which also sends SMS and WhatsApp, and Elia runs Google and Meta ads. HubSpot Marketing Hub covers far more business-to-business marketing.[51][45]

How we compared
Every competitor fact comes from the vendor's own pages, help centres, trust portals, the US App Store and Trustpilot, all checked on 4 November 2026. Zoho CRM prices come from the price data file its pricing page loads. G2 blocked our requests and was not used.
The shortlist is limited to tools with a checked fact file. Pipedrive was left out because its pricing page returned an error to our checks. Salesforce, ActiveCampaign, EngageBay, GoHighLevel and monday CRM are named only as common in general roundups, with no claims. "Not stated" means the pages we checked do not say either way.
Benvo facts come from Benvo's product register, checked against the code on the same day. Where Benvo lacks something, such as an open API or Zapier, the page says so.
